TillyExtraSteps — Safeguarding & Child Protection

Who we are

A safeguarding & child protection NGO

TillyExtraSteps is a non-profit organisation dedicated to strengthening safeguarding and child protection across schools, faith-based organisations, and community spaces. The NGO supports institutions and communities to build safe, inclusive, and accountable environments where children’s rights, wellbeing, and voice are prioritised.

  • Supporting the development and implementation of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Training teachers, caregivers, and frontline professionals on child protection standards and safe practice
  • Strengthening reporting culture, safeguarding roles, and practical accountability systems
  • Addressing risks linked to abuse, neglect, exploitation, and institutional harm through prevention and response
  • Integrating safeguarding frameworks within faith-based organisations and community structures

The NGO’s work is grounded in prevention, accountability, capacity building, and child-centred approaches, with particular attention to African contexts where safeguarding systems are still developing and require locally grounded, sustainable solutions.
